Installations

Much of Sofie Layton’s work is site-sensitive and designed to transform both the perception of a space and how an audience reacts to a piece of temporary art that occupies a familiar place. She works on both interior and exterior interventions. Installations are created in a wide range of materials and processes, which incorporate textile prints, metal work, kinetic sculptures and lightbox structures which invite viewers to enter and listen to a soundscape. Sofie regularly collaborates with other artists, performers and composers to create an experience that is immersive, challenging and beautiful.
